My background is in computational science and research interests revolve around complex brain dynamics, and computations in large-scale brain networks. I study how large-scale interaction in brain networks gives rise to different cognitive functions, especially working memory.

abhirup.bandyopadhyay@ki.se

Lab manager
I have a background in psychology and am currently involved in projects using different types of brain imaging techniques to investigate the human olfactory system. I also manage the lab inventory and Electronic Lab Notebook documentation.

Research Assistant
I am a research assistant, with a background in medicine belonging to Mats Olssons research group. I worki on how behavior and emotions contribute to immunity and vice versa.

ariadni.karagiannidou@ki.se

Assistant Professor
My work focuses on the evolutionary and psychological mechanisms underlying human cooperation and behavioural immunity.

Assistant Professor
I study how central respiratory systems interact with perceptual and cognitive functions in humans using methods from psychophysics, cognitive psychology, electrophysiology and fMRI.

Research assistant
I study how working memory is formated with EEG and source reconstruction.

charles.chernik@ki.se

Assistant Professor
I study human visual and olfactory perception, using both behavioral measures and imaging techniques such as (f)MRI and (S)EEG.

To approach opportunity and avoid danger is fundamental to the survival of the orgamism, where the human olfactory system with its unique direct connection to the amygdala gives it a key role in this processing. My role is to analyse this processing with the aid of EEG source reconstruction and signal processing tools.

frans.norden@ki.se Twitter LinkedIn

Research Engineer
I have a role as a research engineer where i’m mapping facial cues to approach and avoidance behavior.

grigorios.iakovidis@ki.se LinkedIn

My project is an interdisciplinary attempt to define a new method to evaluate human interaction with technology; particularly, the potential for measuring physiological indicators of experienced frustration in driving by using biometrics measurement and fMRI technique.

hannaneh.yazdi@ki.se Twitter LinkedIn

Research Engineer
I am a research engineer in Johan Lundströms group focusing on the olfactory bulb.

irene.zanettin@ki.se LinkedIn

Teaching Assistant
I am a psychology student at KI and my work is related to visual and olfactory perception using behavioural measures

joakim.martinsen@ki.se

PhD student
I examine how working memory operates with MEG measures.

My main interest is to explore the ongoing reciprocal connection between our psychology and biology that jointly form our olfactory percept. What better way to explore this question than looking into the brain?

Breathing is one of the fundamental rhythms of life, with its effects stretching far beyond basic oxygenation. For my PhD project I use EEG methods to investigate how breathing affects brain activity and behavioral performance.

My research focuses on the neural processing of the chemical senses in humans, specifically olfaction and gustation. Within this scope, my particular interest lies in understanding how these senses are represented in the human mind, particularly within working memory.
